Shimokitazawa It has become very fashionable in recent times ... the reason? He has been baptized as the Tokyo hipster neighborhood!

Although we have invented a term that I think is more suited to this place: “bohemhippypster. "Shimokita, which is what the tokiotas call it, it is a bohemian tad, quite hippie and very hipster. Is it worth coming here? Today we tell you ...

Without much detours: yes, worth! It was an atypical neighborhood, which we really liked!

Shimokiatazawa is a set of narrow streets decorated with shops of many types: there are the premises of independent designers, vintage and second-hand clothes where you can find bargains for 5-10 €, bars where you can have a drink while reading a book, restaurants that will tempt you with its specialties, theaters and live music venues, narrow streets full of life, curiosities and street art.

In Shimokitazawa, as a good neighborhood of Japan that is, there is no shortage of geek stores, of course There is no shortage of video game stores, purikuras, sleeves and gashpon.

At first glance it is a crazy, very lively, fun and busy neighborhood although, as always happens, it is enough to get away from the main streets to live scenes of authentic 'normality'.

Although this off the typical routes We advise you to come to visit it: it is also a few stops away from shibuya subway (there is even a bus shaped hachiko that gets you pretty close!) We leave you some more photo ... let's see if you are encouraged 🙂
