North India: the same destination, different opinions

We had never felt so many mixed feelings facing the same destiny as when we decided to go to India.
When we definitely said that this year did not happen to step on that country with which we dreamed for years and we were commenting, we listened and read opinions for all tastes.
Starting with the classic “To India? If that country is very succinct… and the Indians, with how rare they are… and what will you eat there? ” "India? Where are you going to go? A friend of mine went and says he is not even crazy! ” "India? If there they say that there are only rats, that the smell is unbearable and that poverty is extreme "" There you will only suffer ... "
These comments were some of the lightest we heard, although, yes, the vast majority came from people "not traveling", so we did not pay much attention either.
We also heard the comments of the doubtful guy: "Ohhh ... I would like to go, but I dare not, I think I would not stand it ..." "It has to be very pretty, but I don't see myself there ..."
Luck that in some moments we had the comfort of some friends, for whom traveling has become a “modus vivendi” and they encouraged us with the “What happened !!! We are looking forward to going… Let's see if next year falls ”

These were the ones that excited us most in our unstoppable trip planning.
It was clear that we were not going to demotivate a couple of negative opinions (which by the way were many more than two :))
As the months progressed and we were reading and rereading things about the country, we began to invade doubt and fear.
It was encouraged by the fear of the unknown and above all for being the only country we had heard that is THE CHALLENGE for any traveler.

And the months passed and that fear became an unstoppable desire for the day to leave, a great dream to fulfill and above all a new mood, hoping to find what we had been looking for years.
With an open mind and a clean soul to see without judging.

And we, after having visited India for 24 days, can say that we have understood all those opinions that we read and gave us, sometimes so different and so distant from each other.
Some are very hard, but in short they express what we have heard so many times: INDIA, OR LOVE OR ODIAS.
We start hating her and we end up loving her ...
